Component allows to:

• collect and display ads from multiple categories
• nested categories
• charging for ads with the possibility of establishing individual rates for each category
• charging for highlighted/promoted announcement (PayPal)
• adding any number of images to the classified (the limit can be configured by administrator)
• communication with the advertiser by special form

In addition, available modules:

• DJ-Classifieds items – listings by criteria (recent, popular or random)
• DJ-Classifieds menu - generates a menu with all categories
• DJ-Classifieds search - simple serach

New and updated features in DJ-Classifieds v.1.1:

• thumbnail added - appears in popup, instead of the main image uploaded by user (how it was before)
• new admin module - recently added classifieds
• friendly links added - instead of - yoursite.com/classifieds/12/15.php is - yoursite.com/classifieds/12_category_name/15_classified_name.php
• new fields price and contact - enable/disable
• sending queries to the vendor - enable/disable
• mail to admin when a new classified is added - enable/disable
• user classifieds (each user can see and edit own ads)
• when the cost of publication of the classified in the category is set to 0, then this category shows without the price in brackets
• extending classifieds, edition (you can even change the category!) + delete option
• user details in “ask a question” email
• added - the name of the user who added classified appears on the list of all ads on the administrator's side
• ad (classified) details - enable/disable
• html code in the description - enable/disable
• deleting images from the category
• uncategorized tab removed, those with no category show up on the list of all

• blog view added with the possibility of setting the number of columns in the admin

• setting - whether the amount of classifieds is to appear on the list of the categories next to category name

JM-Classifieds template was created to illustrate the possibility of component - DJ-Classifieds.

The component can be useful for everyone, especially for leading portals or social networking sites based on Joomla! CMS. Visitors can add their ads in various categories and the site owner can charge them for it. Template also uses the DJ-Menu module and another DJ-News-Ticker module - a simple rotator of our articles. Three color modules on top of the page are DJ-Classifieds items displaying popular, recently added, and random ads. You can turn them off for sub-pages everywhere, or use it everywhere depending to your needs.

Upgrade instruction for 0.9 version users:

1. backup your site
2. install com_djclassifieds_upgrade_0.9_to_1.1
3. install com_djclassifieds_1.1
4. enter parameters and click 'Save'

   

5. go to 'Ads', select all ads and click 'Recreate thumbnails' button
